This highly interactive course will prepare participants for the food handler’s licensing exam and reinforce food safety concepts. Nationally recognized as the premier training for the restaurant industry, the ServSafe® Maricopa County Food Handler’s Training online course will ensure proper training for all foodservice employees. To date, more than 5 million have relied on ServSafe® for their food safety training and certification.
The Maricopa County Environmental Services (formerly Health Department) has approved ServSafe® Maricopa County Food Handler’s Training as a curriculum to deliver the required food safety training online. This course has the distinction of being the first online training approved by the Maricopa County Environmental Services Department.
Based on the 2009 FDA Code, the online course will cover five key areas of focus with each section requiring approximately 10 minutes to complete:
To meet the Maricopa County licensing requirements, food handlers must pass the assessment with a 75% or greater, print the Certificate of Completion and bring the certificate with a valid picture ID to a Maricopa County regional office for issuance of their food handler card.
